Creative Minds With Creative Purpose

Steven and Graeme Yager are the creator's and managing members of Minds Eye events, LLC, the newest reunion and event planning company to come to the Washington area. Steven and Graeme were close friends in high school, and found each other again at their 20-year reunion in June, 2005. They were married July, 2006, and opened Minds Eye Events, LLC in July 2007. They are both excited to be embarking on their new reunion planning business together.

Graeme Yager has a strong background in the service industry, as her family has been in the hotel business for most of her life. Being a partner in a reunion planning company in California strengthened her event planning and organization skills. Graeme graduated in Computer Networking from Coleman College in Vista, CA, and opened Avidtek, a computer reseller business, in January, 2000, that she continues to operate. Graeme's love of the arts is hereditary. Her father is an artist and was a professional pianist. Her maternal grandmother was an opera singer, and her grandfather a renowned Canadian art collector. Graeme moved to Washington two years ago to live with Steven, and embraces Washington as her new home.

Steven, a Washington local, received his Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1989. He then moved to Portland, Oregon where he created and showed his artwork. He moved back to Washington in 2000 and opened Creative Woodworking, a successful woodworking and fine carpentry business that he still runs. Simultaneously, he attended Bellevue Community College and received his Certificate of Achievement in Digital Media, Communication and Technology in 2002.

Steven and Graeme are proud to be a part of bettering our community by making Minds Eye Events, LLC a socially responsible company. They do this by helping to support creative arts programs within Washington's educational systems. Having high school graduates as clients, Minds Eye Events has committed their company to this effort. They make it possible for their clients to assist all students in the state of Washington to have better access to a more complete education. This is one in which the arts are more integrated into the regular curriculum. One of the ways Minds Eye Events does this is by working with ArtsEd Washington, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to address the inequities in arts education within Washington's schools.
